Would you like to learn how to become more independent in the outdoors?
Navigating effectively within the outdoors can be very rewarding.
Olly will help to expand your navigational toolbox to provide you with the confidence to make good decisions and use judgement to safely explore the outdoors.
These courses can be run across the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District.
Are you keen to learn the skills to be a more rounded mountaineer?
These skills are transferable and will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to move efficiently on scrambling terrain.
Scrambling can take you to quieter, less travelled areas of the mountains and can add interest to any mountain day.
Have you already ticked off many of the classic Grade 1 scrambles and now feel ready to move onto steeper terrain?
You are more likely to require a rope on this ground, so let’s look at how to best make use of the rope in a scrambling environment.
A lot of judgement is required whilst scrambling so we will also look at scenarios and decision making.
The winter environment in the UK’s mountains is like no other. During the winter months mountainous regions transform into very serious places to be. On the other hand, time spent exploring and learning within these environments are amazing experiences and can be valuable to mountaineering development.
Learning the skills required to operate in winter conditions is essential to safely travel within the mountains.
Olly can provide winter skills courses ranging from one to five days where skills can be introduced and practiced then consolidated in numerous locations.
Are you working towards your Mountain Leader award or have not been using your award for a few years?
Olly works on both Mountain Leader training and assessment courses and has in depth knowledge and requirements.
Olly will assess your current skill level and provide you with a development plan of what to work on to give you the best chance of passing and feeling comfortable with the syllabus.
